Frequently Asked Questions
Woah - those look good enough to eat! Are they really for dogs?
Yes - they are handmade specifically for your dog! You won't find any preservatives or weird ingredients here. Although, our hard icing does have some items that are harder to pronounce - they are all 100% dog-safe.

My dog has an allergy. Can they eat Barkville Bakery treats?
In some instances, we may be able to work around an allergy. Our facility is not nut or grain free. Reach out to me with any questions.

No preservatives - so how long will the treats last?
First, you should know that I recommend refrigeration on all of my treats (except iced cookies) until your pup is ready to eat. In the refrigerator, they should last about 3 weeks. If you want them to last longer, they are freezable. Our special iced cookies are dehydrated and have a 1-2 month shelf life.

My dog is having a birthday/gotcha day soon. Can you custom make a pupcake or cake?
I would be delighted! Our most popular is our bone-shaped cake. We can customize it to say your pup's name, age or another message. Looking for something a bit bigger? Email us for info on our sheet cakes and birthday party packages!
*Note: At this time, cakes are not available for shipment.

When can I expect my treats to ship?
Your treats are made fresh. As in, I don’t even break out the flour until you place your order. Once you place your order, your treats will ship in 3-5 business days (unless otherwise agreed upon).
*Note: At this time, cakes are not available for shipment.

When can I expect my treats to be delivered?
We ship using USPS Priority 2-day mail (3 day in some areas - depending on your distance from Kansas City.)

I live in Kansas City. Can I just pick up from you?
Yes. We just opened the Treat Room in Peculiar, MO! You can pick up there. Or send me a message if you need something else!
